What do I value the most in a work of fiction? An ability to evoke emotions, an ability to make you cry out of sadness or happiness. Because when years later the details of it become blurry, you still remember the feelings you've experienced as clear as yesterday.Of course, not everything has to be that intense. If a piece simply makes you think, it's a good enough indicator already. And, as always, there is a beauty and comfort in works that just make you want to read them again and again before sleep to forget about worries of the real world.This list is a mix of all of these. It's far from being extensive, including only the select stuff that I thought would be particularly worth recommending to those with similar interests. Some of the obvious masterpieces were skipped, as well as adaptations in cases where I'm familiar with the source material. As per usual, use your own judgment; no two people have the exact same taste.
